One of the few who are both
Artists and Aviators
A highly acclaimed Internationally known artist
and fully qualified pilot, whose aviation career has spanned almost fifty years.
During this time he has owned and operated aircraft, flown and crewed many types both civil and military, antique, turbine and rotary powered, so is uniquely placed with his intimate and extensive knowledge of aviation and aircraft, to transfer that knowledge, coupled with his meticulous attention to detail, into the splendid works that grace so many canvases.
A member of the select and prestigious US Air Force Art programme. A group of artists who because of their skills, are invited by the US Air Force to accompany flight crews to document aircraft, aircrew and events world wide.
Three recent paintings each 40 x 30, depicting space probes, satellites and launch vehicles inside their assembly buildings deing prepared for launch, www.afapo.hq.af.mil having been exhibited in Washington DC, now hang in the Pentagon.

For a number of years, in conjunction with the National Business Aviation Association, NBAA, Washington. DC he has donated a painting anually for the Corporate Angels Network (CAN) Cancer Charity annual award.
The painting is presented each year at the NBAA Convention.
The East Anglian Air Ambulance was the subject for the Westacott 2010 charity painting. It depicts one of the EAAA helicopters G-RESC lifting off with an injured man for delivery to hospital from the site of an incident at Beeston, Norfolk on 22nd March 2009.
The painting, successfully auctioned on 4th June 2010 was aquired by Mr S Walpole and contributed toward a substantial sum raised throughout the evening

He is a member of The National Business Aviation Association, NBAA
The European Air Display Association and European Air Display Council
Member of the Advisory Board to the 1st Aero Squadron Foundation. Columbus. NM
His works hang in private collections and prestigious locations throughout the world.
Recently retired, he was for many years a senior member of the world famous
'Air Displays International' team.
